Camp Fire USA Wilbarger
County Council |
| Camp Fire Mission: To Buiild Caring, Confident
Youth and Future Leaders. |
|
Founded nearly a century ago,
Camp Fire USA is one of the nation's leading non-profit youth development
organizations. By design, Camp Fire USA programs are not only fun;
they build specific skills and characteristics like self-direction and
confidence. Wilbarger County Council was officially chartered in 1946 and
continues to be a strong youth organization in our area
today. This council has two annual fund raisers, one is
the Camp Fire candy sale, and the other is the Camp Fire carnival.
Community service is an important part of the Camp Fire effort. Camp
Fire strives to give our world more than we take from it. Christmas
programs and Christmas cards are given each year to patients at all the
area nursing homes. Valentine's for Vets is a project that Camp Fire
members participate in annually. Also, Camp Fire members volunteer
with several community organizations. |
